Ayana, Greenstat partner to develop green hydrogen projects in India

Greenstat Hydrogen India and Ayana Renewable Power (Ayana) have signed a joint development agreement (JDA) for the development of green hydrogen projects in India.  Greenstat Hydrogen India is a subsidiary of Norway-based Greenstat ASA, while Ayana Renewable Power is sponsored by the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund. The companies will collaborate to develop large-scale green hydrogen solutions in order to provide a long-term supply of green hydrogen to industrial and commercial users in India.

In Karnataka, Ayana and Greenstat will begin a green hydrogen pilot project. This partnership tends to help India’s National Hydrogen Mission, which aims to make the country a global hub in green hydrogen production. It will also focus on green hydrogen exports. Ayana is currently developing and managing solar, wind, and hybrid power plants in several states in India, totalling more than 3.59 GWac. Ayana has 1.19 GWac of renewable energy projects operational in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Rajasthan.

In March 2022, Ayana and Maxeon Solar Technologies completed and put into commercial service the 192 MW Bikaner 1 Solar Farm in Rajasthan. It is a utility-scale solar power plant built in the second half of 2021 and commissioned in December 2021. Maxeon Solar Technologies’ Performance 3 UPP solar panels were used in the Bikaner 1 solar power facility.
