Tata Power, NAREDCO partner to install 5,000 EV charging points in Mumbai

Tata Power has collaborated with the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO), Maharashtra to install up to 5,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging points in Mumbai. The charging stations will come up in the properties or residences of the developers who are members of NAREDCO.

Under the agreement, Tata Power will provide an all-inclusive charging solution for EVs, which will include charger installation, maintenance, and up-gradation of the chargers as and when needed. Furthermore, the EV owners of NAREDCO’s member developers’ properties can avail the charging facilities.  The agreement will assist Maharashtra in reducing carbon emissions and accelerating the adoption of EVs in the state. The EV owners of NAREDCO’s member developers’ properties can avail the charging facility. The EZ Charge smartphone app from Tata Power will give EV owners access to charging, monitoring, and e-payments 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In March 2022, Tata Power and the Rustomjee Group joined forces to install EV charging infrastructure at the latter’s commercial and residential projects around Mumbai. According to the company’s statement, it has teamed up with Rustomjee Group to provide end-to-end EV charging solutions across all of its residential and commercial projects in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). As part of this agreement, Tata Power will install a dedicated charging infrastructure for residents of Rustomjee in Mumbai MMR.
