The Ministry of Power is seeking expressions of interest (EoI) for a pilot manufacturing zone for the power and renewable energy sectors. The Ministry had previously issued orders conveying the implementation of a project for setting up a manufacturing zone for the power and renewable energy sectors on a pilot basis, with a budgeted outlay of Rs 4 billion over a five-year period. This is under a central sector scheme, which will run for five years, from financial year 2022-23 to financial year 2026-27. The EoI submission deadline is June 8, 2022.
The EoI Process Authority shall endeavour to adhere to the following schedule. There will be a pre-EOI meeting on April 27, 2022, and the bidders have until May 4, 2022 to submit any queries or information they require. On May 11, 2022, clarifications, addendums, or updated EoI will be issued. As per the guidelines, for the selection of the winning proposer, the EoI process authority has adopted a single stage EoI process.
