Hero Electric, India’s largest electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced a partnership with ElectricPe, an electric vehicle (EV) charging platform to expand the charging network and accelerate EV adoption across the country. As per the company’s statement, customers of the Hero Electric EV will be able to use the ElectricPe charging network, which has committed to install 100,000 charge stations by the end of 2022.
Moreover, in residential complexes, offices, malls, and other connected establishments, a charging point network will be created. The company also stated that the collaboration with ElectricPe is aimed at strengthening the existing charging infrastructure to help meet the demand of 4,000,000 charging stations by 2026.
In March 2022, Hero Electric partnered with SUN Mobility to provide smart-swappable battery technology to electric two-wheelers. Hero Electric and SUN Mobility would jointly begin deployments in the next three months as part of the partnership, with a goal of deploying 10,000 electric two-wheelers by the end of 2022.
