Bosch Limited has partnered with Amp Energy India for the supply of solar energy from a 30 MW project from Amp Energy India’s open access facility in Mallat Village, Karnataka. As per the reports, this is Amp Energy India’s third open access project in Karnataka. Bosch Limited and Amp Energy India have signed a power purchase agreement for the procurement of solar power for 25 years.
Bosch Limited will create approximately 43 MUs of green energy per year from this solar open access plant, which is expected to cover about 40 per cent of their energy requirements. The project will deliver solar energy to three Bosch plants in and around Bengaluru. By switching to solar energy, Bosch will help reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 31,000 tonnes per year.
In December 2021, Amp Energy India, commissioned a 13.5 MW solar power project for Orient Cement. The 13.5 MW project will supply solar power to Orient Cement’s manufacturing facility in Maharashtra from Amp Energy India’s open access facility in Gourgaon village, district Osmanabad in the state. Orient Cement signed a power purchase agreement with Amp Energy India for the procurement of solar power for 25 years.
