NTPC floats an O&M tender for 260 MW solar project in Rajasthan

NTPC Limited has issued a request for proposals for the three year operation and maintenance (O&M) of its 260 MW solar project in Rajasthan’s Bhadla Solar Park. As of the bid opening date, the bidder must have completed a contract to install and commission at least one grid-connected solar project with a capacity of 150 MW or higher. The bid submission deadline is January 19, 2022.

As per the tender guidelines, as of the bid opening date, the bidder should have completed a contract to install and commission at least one grid-connected solar project with a capacity of 150 MW or more during the previous seven years. Alternatively, as of the bid opening date, the bidder must have completed a contract for O&M of at least one grid-connected solar power plant with a capacity of 150 MW or higher.

In December 2021, NTPC Limited awarded the project ‘Standalone Fuel-Cell based Micro-grid with hydrogen production using electrolyser’ at NTPC Simhadri, Andhra Pradesh. This project will be India’s first green hydrogen-based energy storage project. It would serve as a test bed for large-scale hydrogen energy storage projects and would be valuable for researching and installing several microgrids in off-grid and strategic locations across the country.
