DPL floats tender for 15 MW of grid-connected solar projects

Durgapur Projects Limited (DPL), a West Bengal government entity, has issued two turnkey tenders for a cumulative capacity 15 MW of grid-connected ground-mounted solar projects in Durgapur.

In the first tender, bids are being sought for the turnkey design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of 7 MW of grid-connected ground-mounted solar power projects on DPL’s premises. The projects will be constructed on 23.5 acres of land adjacent to DPL’s administrative facility. The winning bidder will also be responsible for the project’s operations and maintenance (O&M) for the next five years. The bid submission deadline is January 24, 2022. The projects must be completed within 12 months of receiving the award letter.

In the other tender, DPL is seeking proposals on a turnkey basis for 8 MW of grid-connected ground-mounted solar generating plants on its property. The projects will be constructed on a 27-acre plot of land near DPL’s 220 kV switchyard. The bid submission deadline is January 21, 2022. The winning bidder will also be responsible for the O&M services of the project for a period of five years. The projects must be completed within 12 months from the date of the issue of the letter of award.

In November 2021, DPL issued an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) tender for a 7 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar project in Durgapur, West Bengal. The scope of work comprises the design, engineering, procurement, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the solar project on a turnkey basis. The winning bidder will also be responsible for O&M services of the project for the period of five years.
