NVVN, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has requested bids from contractors for an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services as well as land to develop grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) projects up to 100 MW in Maharashtra. The scope of work comprises design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packaging, forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation, and commissioning of grid-connected solar projects. After commissioning these projects, the winning bidder will be responsible for operation and maintenance for these solar projects for a period of three years. The bid submission deadline is December 20, 2021.
According per the tender document, the land identified for the solar project will be transferred or leased to NVVN. Each project will be at least 2 MW in size, with a maximum individual project capacity of 10 MW created in a district. The project must be built to transmit energy to an MSEDCL substation at 11 kV. There is a list of MSEDCL substations in the district. Additionally, the bidders must have a minimum annual turnover of Rs 54 million per MW during the previous three financial years. In the previous financial year, bidders’ net worth may not be less than 100 per cent of their paid-up share capital.
In November 2021, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited signed a power purchase agreement and other project agreements with Indian Railways, Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited, and Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited for 325 MW solar projects at Shajapur Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh.
