UPNEDA to collaborate with Servotech for off-grid solar project

The Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has placed an order for an off-grid solar PV facility with Servotech Power Systems Limited, a New Delhi-based maker of LED lighting and solar products.

Servotech will be in charge of the supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of off-grid solar PV power plants in several government office buildings in Uttar Pradesh for this project. Servotech has been awarded a Letter of Intent (LOI) worth Rs 111.6 million that must be completed in a short amount of time, despite the project’s overall cost of Rs 372 million which would be valid for one year. The project’s execution is set to begin in the first week of December 2021, and it is expected to be completed in March 2022.

For the past 17 years, Servotech Power Systems has been producing renewable energy inverters, batteries, LED lights, solar products, oxygen concentrators, and UVC germicidal items. Earlier this month, Servotech launched a new line of solar street lights to provide high-quality illumination for outdoor settings. According to the manufacturer, the integrated and two-in-one solar street light has a luminous efficacy of over 105lm/W, a life expectancy of over 50000 hours, and an IP 66 rating.

Earlier this month, UPNEDA invited bids to empanel companies to design, supply, erect, test, and commission 38 MW of grid-connected residential rooftop solar systems of various capacities under the CAPEX model. The empanelled vendors will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance activities of the project for five years.
