The Ministry of Railways has issued a request for proposals for the delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 500 LPD (litres per day) solar water heater system, as well as all civil foundation and plumbing work required. The bid submission deadline is November 29, 2021.
The bids will be valid for 90 days and there will be no earnest money required. The contract stipulates a 30-day delivery time starting from the date of issuance. As per the tender guidelines, the supplier will receive 80 per cent of the payment after receiving the items in satisfactory condition and receiving a challan verified by the consignee gazetted officer and an inspection certificate from the nominated inspection agency.
After satisfactory installation, commissioning, and acceptance of the material by the consignee, the remaining 20 per cent payment is due. Further, firms should provide a guarantee/warranty clause in accordance with the specification/drawing. If the guarantee/warranty clause is not specified in the specification/drawing, it should be supplied in accordance with IRS Conditions of Contract, which is 30 months from the date of supply or 24 months from the date of commissioning, whichever comes first.
