Sharp launches a half-cut monocrystalline solar panel

Sharp has introduced the NU-JD540 solar panel, a half-cut monocrystalline passivated emitter and rear cell (PERC) product with a rated efficiency of 20.9 per cent. It has a power output of 540 W. The NU-JD540 has a white backsheet and anti-reflective, highly transmissive, low iron tempered glass with a thickness of 3.2 mm, as well as an anodised aluminium alloy and silver frame. The safety, quality and durability of the panel have been recognised with IEC seals (IEC/EN61215 and IEC/EN61730). The solar panel comprises 144 half-cells based on M10 wafers and a 10-busbar configuration.

For the power output, a low temperature coefficient of -0.341 per cent per degree Celsius assures good performance at high environmental temperatures. It has a total length of 2,279 x 134 x 3.5 mm and an optimised frame weighing 27.8 kg, making it simple to set up and deploy. These panels are appropriate for PV systems with a maximum voltage of 1,500 V and an operating temperature range of -40 to 85 °Celsius.
