KSEBL floats a tender for 40 MW under KUSUM program in Kerala

Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) programme, the Kerala State Electricity Board Limited (KSEBL) has issued a request for selection (RfS) of renewable power generators to set up 40 MW of solar projects with individual capacities ranging from 500 kW to 2 MW. The tariff ceiling for the tender is Rs 3.66 per kWh. The bid submission deadline is December 8, 2021.

As per the tender guidelines, to be eligible, the bidders have to furnish an earnest money deposit of Rs 100,000 per MW. The winning bidder should submit Rs 500,000 per MW as a performance bank guarantee within 30 days of issuing the letter of award (LoA). The winning bidder must commission projects within 12 months. Construction of 11 kV lines from the solar projects to the sub-station, as well as the bay and switchgear at the sub-station where the plant will be connected to the grid, will be the company’s responsibility.

In May 2021, KSEB invited bids for an operations and maintenance contract for three years for the 1 MW grid-connected, ground-mounted solar project on the premises of the 220 kV substation at Kanjikkode in Kerala’s Palakkad district. The scope of work includes cleaning the solar modules, vegetation control, system inspection, supervision and control of the project, coordination of maintenance activities.
