Tata Power surpasses 1,000 EV charging station marks in India

Tata Power now operates a nationwide network of more than 1,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The network of 1,000 public charging stations is expected to give Tata Power customers unique and seamless EV charging experiences across offices, malls, hotels, retail outlets, and public access points, allowing sustainable mobility and removing range anxiety.

Additionally, there are nearly 10,000 household EV charging stations, making EV charging extremely handy for vehicle owners. The Tata Power EZ Chargers ecosystem includes public, captive, bus/fleet, and home chargers across the whole value chain. As one of the largest solar manufacturers in India, Tata Power Solar operates world-class manufacturing unit in Bangalore, with a production capacity of 580MW of modules and 530 MW of cells. It has a portfolio of more than 7 GW of ground-mount utility-scale, and over 615MW of rooftop and distributed generation projects across the country to date. It also offers a diverse line of solar solutions for both urban and rural markets – these include rooftop solutions, solar pumps, and power packs among others.

Earlier this month, Tata Power Solar received a Letter of Award (LoA) to develop 100 MW of distributed ground-mounted solar projects for Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) in Maharashtra. The scope of work comprises engineering, design, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and operations and maintenance of the solar projects. The total order value of the projects is Rs 5.38 billion. The projects will have to be commissioned within 12 months. With this win, Tata Power Solar’s utility-scale engineering, procurement and construction order book has grown to 4 GW (DC) capacity with an estimated value of around Rs 92.64 billion.
