The West Bengal Power Development Corporation (WBPDCL) has issued a notice inviting tender (NIT) from engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors to set up two 10 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) projects on a turnkey basis. The projects will be installed in two phases at the Santhaldih Thermal Power Station (STPS), Purulia, West Bengal.
The scope of work comprises designing, engineering, manufacturing or procuring, supplying, erecting, testing, and commissioning two ground-mounted solar PV projects. The winning bidder will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of the project for the period of 5 years. The bid submission deadline is November 22, 2021. The estimated cost of the project for Phase-1 is Rs 558.5 million and Rs 504.1 million for Phase-2. Both phases must be completed within 12 months of the award letter being issued (LoA).
In September 2021, the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) invited bids for empanelling agencies to install 50 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects on residential building across West Bengal. The successful bidder would also be responsible for the operations and maintenance of the project for one year. According to the tender document, the bid amount of 50 MW has been divided in two categories Category A (35 MW) and Category B (15 MW).
