Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has selected Exus Management Partners (Exus) to provide asset management services for the 700 MW Travers Solar Project. The long-term contract will last until the building phase is completed and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. The project, located in Vulcan county, Alberta, is CIP’s first renewable energy investment in Canada and it will require a partner to meet the project’s long-term operations, maintenance and financial requirements. Exus will provide custom solar monitoring and optimisation tools to rapidly identify degradation, soiling and asset damage before sending engineers to the site to assess and resolve any issues. This will inevitably reduce downtime and extend the lifetime of solar modules.
