NHPC floats tender for a 45 MW solar EPC project in Uttar Pradesh

NHPC limited has floated a tender for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a 45 MW grid-connected solar power plant in Jalaun district, Uttar Pradesh. According to the tender guidelines, the successful bidder will also be responsible for the operations and maintenance (O&M) of the project for a period of 5 years. The bid submission deadline is October 22, 2021.

According to tender document, to be eligible for the bidding process, the bidder as an EPC contractor or a developer must have designed, installed and commissioned grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative capacity of 40 MW or more. Of this, one project must have been of 10 MW capacity or higher. The project must be completed within 12 months from the issuance of the notification award. Furthermore, the bidder must have completed an industrial project worth Rs 2 billion or more in the previous ten years either as a developer or as an EPC contractor in the areas of electricity, steel, oil and gas, petrochemical, fertiliser, cement, coal mining, or any other process industry.

In August 2021, NHPC Limited had floated an EPC tender for an interstate transmission system-connected solar project to be developed in Tamil Nadu. According to the tender guidelines, the winning bidder would be responsible for the  O&M of the solar project for a period of 10 years. Furthermore, the minimum bid capacity at one place should be 100 MW and post that the bid capacities should be in multiples of 25 MW. The bid submission deadline is October 5, 2021.
