NTPC has floated a tender to develop 300 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind energy projects across India. The scope of work comprises of detailed design, engineering, micro-siting, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and installation of wind turbine generators, control panels, reactive power compensating devices, central monitoring, and wind monitoring masts. The bid submission deadline is October 19, 2021.
According to the tender guidelines, to be eligible, the bidder must have developed, supplied, and commissioned grid-connected wind power projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 40 MW or greater as an EPC contractor or developer. At least one of these projects had to be a single-site plant with a capacity of 10 MW or more. Furthermore, the minimum capacity to be offered by a single bidder should be 50 MW, and the maximum project capacity to be offered by a single bidder is 300 MW.
In January 2021, NTPC had floated a tender for the installation of 300 MW of ISTS-connected wind power projects which can be set up anywhere in the India. Developers will be required to carry out the engineering, design, manufacturing, supply, commissioning, and installation of the wind farm, including wind turbine generators, control panels, central monitoring and control systems, and wind monitoring masts. The bid submission deadline was January 29, 2021.
