REIL floats a tender for 2.5 MW of rooftop solar project

Rajasthan Electronics and Instrument Limited (REIL) issued a tender for supply of balance of systems (except solar photovoltaic modules and string inverters), erection, testing and commissioning of a 2.5 MW grid-connected rooftop solar PV projects by hiring lumpsum turnkey services. The rooftop grid-connected solar PV plant would be set up in Auraiya district in Uttar Pradesh. Phase-I would be set up at a petrochemical complex plant area. Meanwhile, phase-II would be set up at a residential area.

To participate in the bidding process, the bidder’s minimum average annual turnover should be at least Rs 20 million for the last three financial years. As per the tender guidelines, the project must be completed within six months from the date of issuance of the letter of intent (Lol). Further, to be eligible, the bidders should have installed and commissioned 2 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in past three years and one project should of 200 kW or above capacity.

The successful bidder is required to submit 3 per cent of the contract value as the performance bank guarantee (PGB) which would be valid for three years after commissioning the project. The winning bidder will also have to take care of the operations and maintenance (O&M) activities of the project for two years.  The bid submission deadline is September 23, 2021. In October 2020, REIL had also floated a tender for the installation and commissioning for 2 MW of rooftop solar project across Jaipur.
