BHEL invites bid for a 5 MW solar project at Nalanda University, Bihar

Bharat Heavy Electricals limited (BHEL) has invited bids for the supply of balance of system (BoS), installation, testing and commissioning of a 5 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar project at the Nalanda University in Rajgir, Bihar. The project must be completed within 120 days from the date of issuance of the work order.

As per the tender guidelines, to be eligible, the bidder should have installed and commissioned works for a minimum cumulative capacity of 5 MW of solar power projects in India. One project should be of 0.5 MW or above capacity. To participate in the bidding process, the bidder’s minimum average annual financial turnover should be at least Rs 6.55 million during the last three financial years and the bidder’s net worth should be positive. The successful bidder is required to furnish 5 per cent of the allotted work value as the security deposit within a week of the award of work. The winning bidder will also have to take care of the operations and maintenance (O&M) activities of the project for 5 years. The bid submission deadline is September 10, 2021.

In November 2020, the Department of Permanent Campus at Nalanda University had also invited bids for the installation of a 5 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar power project on its permanent campus in Rajgir, Bihar. BHEL had won the auction for this project.
