Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power, has successfully commissioned a 150 MW solar power plant in Loharki village, Rajasthan. The solar project is spread across 756 acres of land. It is expected to produce around 350 million units of electricity per year. The project used approximately 656,700 modules and the installation is estimated to save 334,000 tons of carbon di-oxide emissions per year.
Earlier this month, TPREL commissioned a 100 MW solar project in Raghanesda Solar Park, Gujrat. This plant is expected to generate 255 million units in the first year of its operation and will also reduce 200,000 tons of carbon emission every year.
