Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) has issued a tender for the environmental and social impact assessment of installing a 600 MW floating solar project on the Kaveri branch reservoir at Omkareshwar dam in Madhya Pradesh. The primary goal of this assignment is to identify and solve any major environmental and social problems for the project. The study would be carried out in accordance with the policies and regulations of the central and state governments, applicable local laws and the requirements of the Asian Development Bank. The bid submission deadline is September 13, 2021.
In November 2020, RUMSL had also floated a tender for consultancy services to identify land for 1.4 GW solar park in Madhya Pradesh.
