NHPC Limited has floated an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) tender for an interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar project to be developed in Tamil Nadu.According to the tender guidelines, the winning bidder will be responsible for the operations and maintenance the solar project for a period of 10 years. Furthermore, the minimum bid capacity at one place should be 100 MW and post that the bid capacities should be in multiples of 25 MW capacity.The bid submission deadline is October 5, 2021.
The tender guidelines also mention that the EPC company must have built grid-connected solar projects with a total capacity of at least 40 per cent of the specified bid capacity. At least a minimum of 10 per cent of the quoted capacity must have been completed by the bidder at a single site.For the project, bidders must purchase modules from suppliers listed on the Approved List of Module Manufacturers by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
Previously, NHPC Limited floated a tender for the EPC of a 100 MW floating solar photovoltaic project in Odisha. In addition, in July 2021, NHPC Limited issued another tender for EPC companies for setting up a 600 MW ISTS-connected solar photovoltaic project in Jaisalmer district, Rajasthan.
