Meja Urja Nigam Private Limited (MUNPL) has invited bids to hire consultants to formulate a comprehensive project report for setting up a 55 MW solar power project in Uttar Pradesh. The bid also entails the proposal of a suitable business model by the consultant. To set up the project 337 acres of land and reservoir surface area has been identified. Initially, the project is to be installed on 143.72 acres of land available in the ash dyke area and 145 acres of the reservoir surface area. MUNPL is a joint venture of NTPC Limited and the Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam.
The scope of work includes exploration and identification of a suitable technology for setting up a solar power project on 143.72 acres of land available in the ash dyke area and 145 acres of the reservoir surface area. The consultant is also required to compare various financing models available in the market for setting up the solar project and recommend the best suitable model for the project. A layout of the project roadmap, efforts and costs is also to be provided by the consultant as against the suggested timelines. Additionally, the consultant needs to submit financial models under various modes, including the developer mode. Various statutory clearances, internal approvals, and external approvals involved in setting up the project also need to be presented.
The interim report is to be submitted within 45 days, the complete detailed project report within 75 days, and the tender documents within 90 days.The bid submission deadline is August 27, 2021.
