Lucknow Smart City Limited has issued a tender for the installation of 8.5 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on government buildings under the renewable energy service company model. The Expressions of Interest have been invited under the Smart City Mission in Lucknow.The project entails designing, supplying, installing, testing and commissioning of 8.5 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on government buildings under Lucknow’s Smart City Mission. The operation and management of the project would be under the ambit of the winning bidder for a period of 25 years.
The proposed tender requires prospective bidders to have executed a cumulative capacity of 1 MW of solar projects for any state agency, central agency, public sector undertaking, or railways during the last seven years.The average annual turnover of the bidder during the last three financial years should exceed $4.71 million. For consortiums, the combined turnover of all consortium members will be put into consideration in the evaluation process. The net worth of the bidder must be positive for the last three financial years before the date of bid submission. The last date for bid submission is August 23, 2021.
The solar modules are required to have a warranty for a minimum of 25 years from the date of supply. The output wattage should be at least 90 per cent at the end of 15 years and 80 per cemt at the end of 25 years. The eligible vendors of rooftop solar systems are also required to establish a service center in each district. Along with meeting the specified timelines, the centers would have to provide services free of cost for the first five years of commissioning.
