The Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (BREDA) has issued an empanelment tender invitingexpressions of interest (EoI) for 2 MW of grid-connected rooftop projects.These projects will be set up at various government buildings across the state with a capital expenditure (CAPEX) model. The chosen bidder will also be responsible for the project’s management and maintenance over the next five years.The deadline for bid submission is August 16, 2021.
As per the tender guidelines, the project should be finished within 120 days of the work order being issued. Furthermore, the document specifies that the modules must be built in India. The remaining components can be obtained from any vendor. However, the goods must comply with the EoI’s technical specifications and requirements. The overall capacity of the solar array shall not be less than the authorised capacity should be made up of solar crystalline modules with a minimum wattage of 300 W and above. As a contract performance guarantee, the successful bidder must provide 10 per cent of the contract amount.
Earlier in 2020, BREDA had also issued an empanelment tender for rooftop solar installations on government buildings in the state with capacities of 10 MW (Category-B) and 5 MW (Category-C).
