Risen Energy to invest $13.35 billion for 3 GW manufacturing facility in Malaysia

Risen Energy, a Chinese solar PV manufacturer, plans to invest $13.35 billion in a new solar PV cell and module manufacturing centre in Malaysia over a 15-year period. A 3 GW manufacturing plant will be built in Kedah, Malaysia’s northwest area. This is a step in the direction of expanding the manufacturer’s presence in Southeast Asia. The construction, which is taking place at the Kulim Hi-Tech Park, will be completed by the end of this year, with commercial operations set to commence in 2022.
