Pune, July 21, 2021: Tata AutoComp Systems Limited, India’s leading auto-component conglomerate, along with Tellus Power Green, an USA based DC charging infrastructure company has executed a supply order for 64 200kW DC fast chargers to Tata Power for charging stations being set up by them for charging the EV Buses supplied by TATA MOTORS to BEST for operation in Mumbai as well as GSRTC in Ahmedabad. 50 of these chargers have already been commissioned and are in operation and for the balance; installation is in progress and shall be completed very soon. Tata AutoComp – TELLUS combine is providing complete installation and commissioning support along with on-going AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) with onsite support to achieve high uptime and ensure that the chargers are available on demand to support the efficient charging as well as operation of the Buses.

About a year back Tata AutoComp had entered into a strategic partnership with Tellus Power Green of USA for providing the Charging infrastructure for upcoming Electric Vehicles being introduced in the country and support faster proliferation of these. Supply of these 64 200KW chargers to TATA POWER for Charging TATA MOTORS buses is very strategic and important step for us as we work synergistically and in tandem with TATA Group companies to support Vision of our Group Chairman as well as the Govt of India’s Vision of Atamnirbhar Bharat.
Apart for this Tata AutoComp – TELLUS has supplied 30kW & 50kW DC Fast chargers as well as 7.5kW AC chargers to various customers. As we progress, both partners have decided to extend the partnership for another three years and Tata AutoComp will work aggressively towards localisation of these chargers along with Tellus for which the work has already started.
