NHPC Limited floats 600 MW ISTS solar tender on a turnkey basis

NHPC Limited has floated a tender for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies for the setting up of a 600 MW interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar photovoltaic project along with the transmission infrastructure.The solar project will be set up in Jaisalmer district, Rajasthan.

According to the tender guidelines, the successful bidder will also be responsible for the operations and maintenance (O&M) of the solar project for a period of ten years. The project commissioning deadline will be 18 months from the date of issuance of notification of award.

The tender guidelines have mentioned that the interested bidders should have executed, on an EPC basis as contractors or developers,solar projects of cumulative capacity 100 MW which can include ground-mounted, rooftop, floating solar projects.However, at least one project of 50 MW should be completed at a single location. Moreover, interested bidders must have provided O&M services for at least one solar project with a minimum 50 MW capacity for a period of six months at least.

In addition, the interested bidders should have a minimum average annual turnover of over Rs18 billion in the preceding three years and net worth must be positive in three out of the five preceding years. Along with it, bidders must ensure that they have a working capital of at least Rs3 billion.

The online and offline bid submission deadline are August 31, 2021 and September 6, 2021 respectively.
