The Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA) has floated a tender to install 10.4 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects both with and without battery storage in areas across the state. Developers will be responsible for the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the projects, including the supply of bi-directional meters. Further, they will have to carry out comprehensive maintenance of the project for five years. The cost of the project is estimated to be about Rs 496 million and the construction must be completed with three months of the issue of the letter of award. Prospective bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 200,000 and the deadline for submission of bidsis July 5, 2021,
The estimated capacity of the projects without battery storage for the range of 1 kW to 10 kW is 600 kW, and for the range of 11 kW to 50 kW, is 2.6 MW. For projects with 51 kW to 100 kW systems, the estimated capacity 700 kW, while for the range of 101 kW to 500 kW, it is 4.5 MW.The estimated capacity of rooftop projects with battery storage is 2 MW.The tender document also specifies that both the solar cells and modules used in the project should be domestically manufactured. The models and manufacturers of solar modules should be from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy
In March 2021, HAREDA facilitated power purchase agreements for 3.75 MW of rooftop solar projects with five universities in Haryana at a tariff of Rs 3.33 per kWh for 25 years.Earlier, HAREDA had invited bids for 30 MW of rooftop solar systems on government buildings in the state under the renewable energy service company model.
