Chhattisgarh has invited bids for supply of solar modules

Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA) has floated a tender that seeks to standardise the rates for the supply of solar modules for solar applications in the state. This covers a range of capacities from 75 W to 315 W. The modules will also need to have ten years’ onsite warranty conforming to the standards put out by Bureau of Indian Standards and MNRE. While the quantity of solar modules to be purchased has not been fixed, it will depend on the demand received from various field offices of CREDA.Purchase value is estimated to be Rs 10 million and interested bidders will have to submit an earnest money deposit amount of Rs 75,000.The last date to submit the bids is June 21, 2021.

To be eligible, the bidders must have valid test reports of solar modules for all categories in the name of bidder or manufacturerfor which the bidder has made the offer for supply. Chhattisgarh-based bidders should have a minimum of two years of experience in the manufacturing or supply of solar modules. Bidders from other states should have a minimum of three years of experience in the manufacturing and supply of solar modules. The bidder should have a positive net worth of Rs 5 million as of the last date of the previous financial year. The aggregate turnover of the bidders in the last three years should be at least Rs 50 million in module manufacturing or supply.The peak watt capacity of the modules should not be less than 90 per cent at the end of ten years and 80 per cent at the end of 25 years. Further, the bidder or manufacturer must be in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers as issued by MNRE.

The state of Chhattisgarh is moving forward with its solar power development. Recently, Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) issued an expression of interest for shortlisting of suitable land banks or parcels for developing a 100 MW solar power project inthe state of Chhattisgarh.
