SJVN invites bids for 75 MW solar capacity in Uttar Pradesh

SJVN Limited has floated an EPC tender for the design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 75 MW solar project at theParasan Solar Park in Uttar Pradesh. The successful bidder will also be responsible for the comprehensive operation and maintenance activities of the project for three years. The bidding document mandates that the work should be completed within 15 months from the date ofissue of the letter of award. This date will depend on the date on which the government of Uttar Pradesh allots the land for the project. The EPC vendors enlisted with SJVN will be eligible to participate in this tender. The last date to submit bids is June 11, 2021.

To be eligible, the bidder must record an annual average turnover of at least Rs 1.125 billion in the last three financial years. Further, the bidder must have recorded a positive net worth in at least two of the last three financial years. There will also be a preference for micro, small, and medium enterprises registered with National Small Industries Corporation or start-ups as recognized by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP)

SJVN is a joint venture between the government of Himachal Pradesh and the central government. So far, SJVN has tendered 1.2 GW of solar power projects in India. In April 2021, SJVN Limited floated expressions of interest for the acquisition of hydro, solar, and wind projects in India from various agencies. The state-owned company invited proposals from independent power producers, power generating companies, developers, state electricity boards, and lenders offering their hydro, solar, and wind projects in India.
