The African Development Bank, the International Finance Corporation and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development have signed a memorandum of intent to begin talks for financing the Botswana-Namibia mega solar project. The memorandum of intent is expected to support the pre-feasibility and related studies required to develop the project. The two countries have partnered with the US-led Power Africa to develop this project. The project will see installations being built across both countries and the power produced will be exported to the southern Africa region.
