Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL) has floated a tender to develop an of aggregate 8 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar capacity with net metering at various training and educational institutions across Rajasthan. The plant capacities shall range from 10 kWp to 100 kWp. Developers will be responsible forthe survey, design, supply of balance of systems, installation, commissioning (including net metering), and five-year maintenance of the grid-connected solar plants while REIL will supply solar modules. The last date to submit bids is May 10, 2021.
To be eligible, the bidder should have installed and commissioned at least one grid-connected solar plantfor any government institution of at least 100 kWp in any of the last two financial years. It must have also completed at least 50 solar installation sites of at least 10 kWp each in any one of the last two financial years. Further, the bidder must have had experience in developing at least 4 MWp ofgrid-connected solar projects out of which at least 1 MWp should have been installed in the state of Rajasthan in the last three fiscal years. As per the financial criteria, The bidder’s annual average turnover from capex installations in the last three financial years must be a minimum of Rs 60 million.
REIL is a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan. So far, REIL has issued tenders for a total of 192.8 MW of rooftop solar projects.
Most recently, in October 2020, REIL invited bids for the installation and commissioning of 2 MW of rooftop solar power systems across the buildings of Jaipur.
