NTPC Limited floats tender for 600 MW of wind-solar hybrid projects

NTPC Limited, through its wholly-owned subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, has invited bids to develop 600 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid projects across India. According to tender document, the scope of work includes the design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and proving the guaranteed performance parameters for solar and wind energy projects. The minimum and maximum project capacity at a single location is 50 MW and 600 MW, respectively. The bid submission deadline is May 31, 2021.

In April 2021, NTPC Limited invited bids to select solar developers for setting up 1,000 MW ISTS-connected solar power projects across India. In February 2021, it floated a tender for the engineering, procurement, and constructionfor a maximum of 300 MW of grid-connected solar photovoltaic projects in Gujarat. In addition to providing comprehensive operations and maintenance for three years, the contractors will be responsible for the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation, and commissioning of the projects. In the same month, NTPC Limited floated a tender to develop 735 MW of grid-connected solar capacity in the Nokh Solar Park in Rajasthan. The project will be built in three blocks of 245 MW each using indigenously manufactured solar cells and modules.

In January 2021, NTPC limitedfloated a tender for the development of 190 MW of grid-connected power projects at the Nokh Solar Park in Rajasthan. In the same month, NTPC Limited has floated a tender for the installation of 300 MW of ISTS-connected wind-power projects which can be set up anywhere in the country.
