Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), a subsidiary of Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), has invited bids to install 151 solar conditioning units, solar street lights, and six solar home lighting systems at various households in Goa. In addition to providing operation and maintenance for five years, developers will also be required to carry out the design, manufacture, supply installation, and commissioning of the home systems. The project will be developed under the remote village electrification program. The developer must also ensure that the project is commissioned within 120 days from the issue of the work order. The deadline for submission of bids is April 28, 2021.
To be eligible, bidders must have experience in designing, supplying, and installing solar systems of at least 100 kW capacity. Further, the bidder should have carried out similar projects in the last three years for any government department, public sector undertakings, or private companies. Further, the bidder should have completed a single work order of Rs 4.8 million or two work orders of Rs 3 million or three work orders of Rs 2.4 million. As per the financial criteria, the bidder must have an average annual turnover of a minimum of Rs 1.8 million in the last three financial years. Additionally, the bidder must have a net worth of at least 100 per cent of paid-up share capital and also have recorded profits in at least two of the last three financial years.
In November 2020, EESL signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of New and Renewable Energy of Goa for the launch of India’s first convergence project in the state. As per the proposal, EESL will develop solar-powered agriculture feeders, battery energy storage systems, and LED streetlights in rural areas of Goa.
