Enviva aims to achieve net zero emissions by 2030

Enviva, a renewable energy company focusing on sustainable wood bioenergy, has set an aim to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions from its operations by 2030. As part of this goal, Enviva will reduce, eliminate or offset all of its direct emissions. It will work to minimise the emissions from fossil fuels used directly in its operations under Scope 1. To curb the emissions arising from electricity purchases in its operations (Scope 2 emissions), Enviva plans to source 100 per cent renewable energy for its operations by no later than 2030, with an interim target of at least 50 per cent by 2025. The company plans to drive innovative improvements in its supply chain to address its Scope 3 emissions, which are generated in its upstream and downstream supply chain.
