Haryana invites bids for developing 6 MW of solar projects

The Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL) has invited bids for  6 MW of grid-connected solar projects at Chandpur in Faridabad, Haryana. Developers will be required to carry out includes the design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the project. Further, the developer must offer comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the projects for at least five years and a maximum of ten years. The prospective bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 6 million. The deadline for submission of bids is March 24, 2021.

Bidders are eligible if theyhave experience executing similar work for at least one solar project of 10 MW or two of 5 MW each. These projects must have been operational for at least one year. Applicants are also eligible if they have developed industrial projects worth at least Rs 600 million as, procurement and construction contractors or developers in power, steel, oil, gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, or coal mining sectors in the last ten years. Further, the bidders must have set up at least one 33 kV substation in the last year. The financial criteria state that the applicants must have had a minimum average turnover of at least Rs 30 million in the last three financial years.

Earlier this month, the Military Engineering Services had issued a tender for the development of 1 MW of ground-mounted solar power projects at Hisar, Haryana. In January 2021, the Maharaja Agrasen Medical college invited bids to develop a 1 MW of rooftop solar system at its campus in Agroha, Haryana.
