SECI invites bids for 20 MW solar project with energy storage

SECI has invited bids for the development of a 20 MW solar power project with a 50 MWh battery energy storage system. The project will be installed in Phyang in Leh district of the union territory of Ladakh. Developers will be responsible for the design, engineering, procurement, supply, testing, packing, associated civil works, installation, transmission, testing and commissioning of the storage-integrated solar project. They will also have to provide 10 years of comprehensive operations and maintenance services. As per the tender document, the monocrystalline and bifacial modules used in the construction of the solar power plant must be domestically manufactured and approved by the MNRE. The developers will not be required to submit an earnest money deposit. The deadline for the submission of bids is February 10, 2021.
