The Ministry of Defence has invited EoIs for the development of a combined ground-mounted and grid-connected floating solar project on a turnkey basis at the Cordite Factory in Aruvankadu, Tamil Nadu. Developers will be required to set up the projects on designated lakes and land in the area. About 4,200 square metres of land and 11,700 square metres of the lake area have been allotted for the solar capacities. The winning bidder needs to develop the project with a three-phase inverter and carry out civil works for grid connections. In addition to obtaining approvals from the state distribution company, the developer must carry out comprehensive maintenance services for five years. Bidders are eligible if they have prior experience in designing, supplying, erecting and commissioning similar projects in India or overseas. The deadline for the submission of EoIs is January 31, 2021.
