Iberdrola, the Spanish multinational electric utility company, has announced the acquisition of a 50 per cent stake in Sea Wind, an offshore wind energy company. Going forward, the two companies will jointly develop a project portfolio of 7.3 GW. The move marks Iberdrola’s entry into the Polish market, and reflects the company’s strategy of geographical diversification in favourable markets such as Poland.
