Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has invited bids for the development of 317,975 off-grid solar water pumps across 30 states and five union territories under Component B of the PM-KUSUM programme. Developers will be required to carry out the design, manufacture, supply, transport, installation, testing, commissioning, and repair and maintenance for five years of the solar pumps. Only domestically manufactured modules must be used under the scheme and the pumps must meet the technical standards laid down by the MNRE. The developers will be expected to install and commission the solar pumps within 90 days of issue of the notice to proceed, except in special category states, hill states, union territories, and island union territories where it must be completed within 120 days. Interested and eligible bidders must submit Rs 25,000 as the document bidding cost. The deadline for the submission of bids is February 4, 2021.
