Trina Solar, a leading global solar PV manufacturer, has recently announced the launch of the Vertex S module series. This is the latest in its high efficiency PV module series for residential and commercial rooftop applications. The new series features the company’s innovative Vertex technology, which can increase the output power of distributed energy products beyond 405 W. Vertex S is intended for distributed PV power plants and is available in a range of customisable options.
According to the company, the cutting-edge Vertex technology platform combines 210 mm wafers, multi-busbar design, non-destructive cutting and high density packing. With this, its output power goes up to more than 405 Wp, a power increase of up to 60 Wp or 17 per cent as compared to previous product generations. Moreover, it increases the module efficiency by 1 per cent to more than 21 per cent. The product has a dimension of 1,754 mm x 1,096 mm and weighs 21 kg. It comes in three versions – the DE09, DE09.05 and DE09.08. These modules have been reportedly designed as lightweight for ease of rooftop mounting, and feature an easy-to-handle format. The Vertex S modules come with an upgraded product warranty of 15 years.
