San Miguel Corporation plans 200 MW solar park to power New Manila International Airport

The San Miguel Corporation has targeted the construction of a 200 MW solar farm in Bulacan, which will power its New Manila International Airport project. The proposed solar farm will be set up on the company’s 2,500 hectare land in the municipality. The airport will be built with a battery-powered energy storage system that will reduce fluctuations in power generation. The project is expected to cost about $15.32 billion.
