Japan’s sixth solar auction awards 368.8 MW of solar project capacity

Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry has announced the allocation of 368.8 MW of solar project capacity in its sixth auction for solar projects of 250 kW capacity or more. A total of 255 bids were selected by the ministry, ranging from 300 kW to 68.8 MW. In the auction, the lowest and highest tariffs discovered were $0.095 per kWh and $0.114 per kWh respectively.
