The Gujarat Energy Development Agency has floated a tender for the development of 12 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar capacity across government buildings in the state. The developers are expected to carry out the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the projects. They must also undertake comprehensive maintenance for five years, which includes the payment of grid connectivity and meter charges. Each rooftop system will range between 3 kW and 50 kW, and the solar modules must be manufactured in India. To be eligible for participation, prospective bidders for 3-10 kW projects must have developed 600 kW of similar projects in the past three years. Bidders for 10-50 kW projects must have experience in developing 1,200 kW of similar projects in the same period. The deadline for the submission of bids is November 9, 2020.
