Soltec has launched its new single-axis solar tracker called SF8 tracker, which has a minimum configuration of 2×60, for reducing installation and maintenance costs and increasing overall PV plant performance. It is a multidrive tracker with at least four strings of up to 100 kW, contributing to the ease in electrical module connections. This tracker has an elegant design and robust structure to facilitate installation and improved performance on any terrain. It has a reinforced torque tube with an improved geometry, which, combined with an autonomous self-stow system, helps in increased resistance to adverse weather conditions. The new product is an improvement over the previous generation of Soltec trackers with a 22 per cent increase in structure rigidity.
The SF8 is specifically designed for larger 72- and 78-cell modules. The product also has 5.16 per cent fewer parts per module than the previous generation of Soltec trackers, which helps in improving cost and installation efficiency. The product has Soltec’s TeamTrack system, which has been adapted for bifacial modules to provide gains in energy yield. It also has an innovative full-wireless system, allowing complete plant and inter-tracker connection. It comes with Google’s Open Thread system, which contributes to improved plant protection and prevents damage by accurately anticipating weather conditions.
