EESL floats tender for 7.5 MW of rooftop solar projects in Andaman

Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has invited bids for a total of 7.5MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects to be developed on government buildings in the union territory. The tender is divided in to two lots; the first lot having a 4.755MW capacity will be installed in Middle Andaman and the remaining 2.68MW will be installed in North Andaman in a second lot. Bidding entities are eligible if they are least three years old as on date of issue of tender. Prospective bidders will also have to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 3.3 million for the first lot and Rs 5.8 million for the second lot. 25 per cent of the total tendered quantity will be reserved for micro and small enterprises.The scope of work includes design, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of the projects, the successful bidders will also have to carry out operations and maintenance services for 10 years. The last date for submission of bids is October 20, 2020.

EESL has invited bids for various solar projects across the country. In August 2019, EESL floated a tender for developing 279MW of solar capacity across Maharashtra. They had also invited bids for setting up 20MW of grid connected rooftop solar power projects in Andhra Pradesh.
