Central Electronics Limited (CEL) has issues a tender for setting up 1,707 solar pumps under Component-C of the Pradhan Mantri KisanUrja Suraksha evamUtthaanMahabhiyan (PM KUSUM) scheme. The pumps will be installed under Jaipur’s power discom. The scope of work for the winning bidder will include design, survey, supply, installation, testing, commissioning along with five years comprehensive maintenance of solar PV systems for solarisation of grid-connected agriculture consumers. Bidder can be single bidder or consortium of up to two members with one of the members as lead member as per format of consortium agreement. the bidder should have positive net worth for each of the last three financial years. In case of consortium, all the partners of consortium shall meet individually this qualification. The solar modules will be supplied by CEL at the centralised location in Rajasthan, as decided by CEL.
The number of solar pumps may be increased by 50 per cent or decreased as required by the discom. The installation of solar pumps is to be completed within eight months from the date of the purchase order. The bidder should have experience of supply, installation, and maintenance of grid-connected off-grid solar power systems during the last five years. The work should have been executed for any government department, public sector undertaking, listed company, or a registered cooperative society with a value of at least Rs 67 million. In the case of a consortium, both parties should jointly meet the eligibility criteria.
CEL floated a series tenders for the supply of multi-crystalline solar cells as well as solar ribbons over the past few months.
