IOCL floats a tender for setting up 2.75 MW of solar power in Tamil Nadu

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has floated a tender for setting up of a 2.75 MW solar power project at the firms’ LPG bottling plant in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. The project has been proposed for captive consumption through open access at multiple IOCL locations across Tamil Nadu. The scope of work for the developer will include the EPC work on the grid-connected solar project. Further, the selected bidder will have to undertake five years of comprehensive O&M for the plant, from the date of successful commissioning. The project must be completed within nine months from the date the site is handed over. As per the tender guidelines, the solar modules should have a product warranty of a minimum of 10 years and a performance warranty of 25 years from the date of commissioning. Further, the inverters should be warranted for five years from the date of commissioning while the supervisory control and data acquisition system shall be warranted for a minimum five years. The last date for bid submission is September 22, 2020.
