NTPC to supply RTC power along with Greenko

NTPC VidyutVyapar Nigam (NVVN) has signed an agreement with Greenko Energies Private Limited for exploring the possibility of entering into an arrangement for trading, collaboration and partnership in Integrated Renewable Energy Storage Projects set up by Greenko to offer Round the Clock (RTC) renewable energy power to potential customers in India.

Greenko has a 6.4 GW portfolio and is building power storage projects with total capacity of 7.2 GW across six states in India. While NTPC runs the largest fleet of coal-based capacity in India, Greenko’s integrated renewable energy assets with storage, will help it provide clean energy during peak grid demand. Recently, NTPCLimited,hasalso received the approval from NITI Aayog and the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management to set up a wholly-owned company for its renewable energy business.The subsidiary, named NTPC Renewable Energy Business will be incorporated under the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013.
